When they call for customer service survey, give them a "4" or less. It's the worst thing you can do for them. SA are friendly until the survey. Afterwards, they really don't give a crap. Towson is a mad house. They are so busy that many times they really don't have the time to take good care of your car. The valets and car wash people will damage your car. I have a knick on my rear wheel from the car wash guys and few knicks on my aluminum door trim from the valets releasing seat belt too early and denting the crap out of it. I actually saw and heard it as I was waiting for him to get out of the car. BMW of Towson will not replace it. Citing, it's a manufacturer defect and I should call BMW.
They also have a service parking lot with HUGE mound of asphalt. It's a huge speed bump that many mechanics/valets failed to see and drive over it with customers' cars. You can see the deep gouges ,I mean deep gouges. OUCH ! Last edited by 1N54E92; 08-16-2009 at 09:00 PM.. |

bmw of bel air gets all my family's business, even when we find a car at towson, we have them ship it up, we won't deal with anyone at towson.

I would be very upset especially since they left a tool in the engine bay!

I'm picking up a new car from BMW of Towson next week. The drive to Bel Air isn't bad. Its time to balance the service options.

Well I can bet given some recent things going back and forth on my car I may take my business from VOB to Passport. I have had my car in 3 times to get things fixed. The second time was because they did NOTHING right the first time. The third time was becuase they fixed everything and somethign else broke...probably while they had the car. Anyway..I will say the shop manager Brian was great to work with..oh and the guy Ziggy he gets the cars for ya and stuff. However the service team is not responsive and my SA was kind of not nice either. The Sales Manager who I bought my first oen from was though.
However here is the reason why..which I disagree with as I am in sales and on the phone and e-mail all day long. Apparently e-mails...even though they have e-mail address they do not check til end of day. Okay so, all 3 people on the service team..are all was busy? No checks e-mails all day for ANY traffic? Same with SA? I mean if I were buying a car I bet they respond quickly! Anyway I will either be going to Passport BMW to lease again when mine is up or I will look at an Audi S4....I like the Audi..seems a bit more room in the backseat. Only way I will work with VOB is if the Sales Manager runs the sale....NOT my previous SA.

I was shopping for an e39 M5 a few years ago and they tried to push one on me that just came back from the BMW performance training school all beat to hell, throwing a CEL and barely idling. They swore it was fine.........f'in dirt bags.

For sales, BMW of Towson was a simple deal. There wasn't uncomfortable haggling. I was straightforward in expressing what I wanted and they met it.

Who did you deal with? I tried negotiating on a CPO online and the salesman was not willing to budge. Seeing as they are over an hour away from me, there is no way I would waste my time going there if they won't budge on prices.

sorry Adam just couldn't resist that one. Matt set it up perfectly.
And yes after that ride on Sat there's no way I could think that.

I love negotiating. My last session contributed to the salesman getting fired because his figurative sales shelter collapsed during our session. He simply didn't know the ropes. In regards to Terry, I sat down in his office with the Edmunds numbers and he was fully aware of them. He had mentioned in a previous conversation that we could move 'a couple thousand' so I held him to it and used the numbers as a foundation. We talked the game and we both left happy.

WOW the list keeps growing on Towson.
anybody going to stop by the car sale (show) at the festival of bel air. i can't see them selling much after that C 4 C was around this summer. everyone thinks all that did was front loading car sale and now it will be dead. bet next month you could make a deal. |
