trunk install help pls!! trunk lock won't catch

so i'm installing a new cf csl trunk and everything seems to be ok so far. some holes are too small and i'll have to hit them with the dremel and such but my major problem is the trunk won't lock. i already tried raising the catch thing bellow the trunk/bootlid (as suggested in the following thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=trunk)

anyone know what i can do or how to fix this?

Lyndon, are u sure you slid the latch all the way up? It moves a decent amount. Make sure all the bolts are loose and pull the latch up.

If that doesn't work, maybe some washers/spacers on the locking mechanism to make it lower. Give me a call... we can work it out!

What trunk did u get BTW? My Vorsteiner DVWP trunk didn't have this problem.

thanks guys i had a friend come over and we figured it out. haha i was in the trunk while he closed it so i could see what was wrong. we fixed the latch and the real problem was i only used 2 bolts on the top lock mechanism. soon as i drilled a hole and put the 3rd one in the problem went away

pix up tomorrow

Your car looks awesome with the CF boot, IMO I would leave it unpainted!

I never installed my liner onto my Vorsteiner bootlid, I was too lazy... At least it's double sided CF, so I use that as my excuse for my laziness...haha

Ahhh, nice trunk. I can see the differences between the C8 and the Vorstiener version.

this is true. when it gets a bit less cold i'll take the dremel back out and cut a hole for it. i also had to make the holes for the tail light, license plate light, and trunk release bigger. they were all too small by just a mm or 2.
