JB4 stage 3 N54 upgraded have question

Hi all, noob here, i just installed the JB4 Stage 3 N54 in my 2007 335i..
I know the system works and installed correctly because i can access the menues from the sterring wheel buttons.

The system is on map one..

1. My question is about how many miles till i start seeing a noticeable increase in power? right now it is just a little..

I drove it for 10 miles and see just a little difference after the temps are were they need to be for the JB4 to work.

2. Also, the shitting lights, when you set those to say 4 rpm, that just means the shift lights go on at 4 rpm, but it is not changing when the car shits right?

Thanks

1. should be immediately. set your gauges to hijack and see how much boost you are running. it should be a night and day difference. try map 5.

2.exactly, car will shift normally, but you will see the lights on after you pass 4k until its under 4k.

Thanks a lot for the response.

I am wondering is Map 5 ok for a stock car with no other mods then the jb4?

how do you set the gages to hijack?

map5 is autotuning. so it will tune to what ever mods you have or lack of.

you should instantly feel a difference right off the bat...like ^ said, set your gauges to hijack mode to where you can see how much boost you are running on the fuel gauge. It only works when you go over 50% throttle or something like that and after you let off the gas it changes back into a regular fuel gauge. If im not mistaken its menu 2 option 1 ( Should read boost on fuel)

Keep in mind map 5 takes a couple WOT runs to fully adapt. So I would set it to 5 then do a couple pulls to let it auto tune. Then you'll notice a nice difference

The other thing about the JB4 is the safety feature keeps it at the stock tune until the engine oil temp goes above 160 degrees. Then your hazard flashers on the dash should blink twice, indicating that it has switched to the JB4 performance map (whatever one you have set) and that is when you will notice an immediate and obvious difference.

when i first got the jb4 it was my only mod + bms dci. i didnt notice a huge difference in map 1. I ran against a 2010 e92 msport coupe stock with only 20k on it and i was 100k e90 jb4 map 1 and my car way pulling away after that i was assured there was a difference. Just with cattless 3'' downpipes you will be able to run map 2 im sure then you will feel a increase in power
