Adding BMW Apps

Hello,
I have a 2012 BMW X5, build date 11/11. I was disappointed to find that, although I was told it would, it did not have Apps ($6NR) installed. I am a new coder and I have searched and searched with no luck. My friend and I have added $6NR to FA/VO, and have SG_Cod to CIC and MEDIA.. We have gotten to a point where Connecteddrive disappears and becomes BMW Assist. Still no BMW apps when connecting to my iPhone and running BMW Connected App. I have all the requirements for Apps, and I have tried everything I have read in the forums. If anyone has some suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

BMW Apps require FSC from 09/11-on.

Thanks Technic... I was hoping there was a way around that. The only way is paying $$$ to someone with FSC bc dealership said "no retrofit is available because its a factory option". Thanks, I really appreciate your insight.

There is an OEM retrofit since 02/12 at least. The dealer should be able to "find it" as it is on realoem.com.

Let us know how you make out. My dealer (Tulleyin Nashua, NH) said they couldn't/wouldn't apply the retrofit to my (still relatively new) 2012 335is E93. Would love to have this added to my car, as I like tech stuff. I've bought a cable and am slogging through the forum, but still haven't mustered the courage to plug in yet...

Same here. I have a july 11 build on my 335is and someone local tried to code it but the iDrive changed from Connected Drive to BMW Assist. Please let me know what to ask for at the dealership because I asked at one of my local ones and they said it is not possible.

I have called two dealerships and one said they would "call me back", never heard back from them.. The other, "had to talk to the engineer".. The shop foreman said that a lot of people want this feature but they haven't released it yet for a BMW official retrofit. It seems as though I am getting no where with this, and because my car needs an FSC and the blue cable on the combox, I think I am just gonna go through Patryk and BimmerTech. They use OEM parts, just didn't wanna have to pay for something I was told I was already gonna have...But- I hope you have better luck than I did...
