Yea I'm sure the X5 runs negative camber.

they said they couldn't do it until next Wednesday because they had no cars to give me and I would have to pay for a new alloy....phone call to the dealer principle 20 mins later a spare alloy was on my car and they are doing the run out test tomorrow and sending to BMW for a claim, he did say if is very rare for an X5.

How much for a new rear alloy?!? £675each

Sorry to learn of this. Fingers crossed BMW UK will authorise your claim.

Are you running BMW accessory 21" wheels?

Think you have these...

Optional 20" M sport wheel. Same as what came fitted to ours, bet they're on Dunlops too.

We fitted Vred SUV tyres just before the new year, not fully convinced yet if BMW will cover ours it they now crack. Not noticed anything odd but will have ours looked at in due course when swapping over.

I was looking at a few X5s on autoquake the other week and they give you tonnes of photos including the tread pattern. I was amazed at how many of the X5s suffered with inner edge tyre wear as some looked just as bad as an E92/E93 with the inner edge completely shot! I'm not surprised the alloys are cracking as it's a much heavier car also running a low profile tyre running mainly on it's inner edge - madness.

It's all well and good setting these ROAD CARS up like a track car but BMW will have to realise it's not doing them or their customers any favours.
