The cooler was fine, the vent just bent some of the fins so probably got lucky there.

I'll look to get another set of 19" wheels in the summer, upgrading to a LSD is priority numero uno.
I went with apex 18s because of their significant weight loss over 19s and cheaper tires, which I burn through quite quickly. 19s are more for looks but 18s will give better performance. lsd and associated mods were the very first thing did to my car and it was a wise choice, so stick to that!

Does 255/35 have the same width as 245/40 because 245/40 is taller and stretches a little, while 255 is wider but less tall to stretch?

Here are my numbers:
Tire Height Width

245/40/R18 - 25.7" 9.6" This is our baseline that caused rubbing

235/40/R18 - 25.4" 9.3" .3" less height, .3" less width, -.6" total

255/35/R18 - 25.0" 10" .7" less height, .4" more width, -3" total

Is this a good way to figure out the clearance? I know the tires rub a bit on compression so I'm more worried about height, but would the 255 width be an issue?

Do you know for sure 255/35 is good enough more clearance to give it a shot?
I took the plastic grills off first thing and they never rubbed, only the top of the wheel well. yes. after wearing down a bit, they almost never rub the top but I still don't have the grills on. hasn't been a problem thus far.

If you go to the tire section of this forum, there's a tire size calculator and it says the width wont be affected between the 245/40 and 255/35, just less tall. clearance on the sides depends a lot on your offsets, but the 255/35 should fit.

cant find it atm but apex said that the 255/35 18 was one of their recommended size for my wheel.

edit: found the quote from apex re: recommended tire size

We have many great fitments for the E9X chassis. For a 335is, we recommend going with the following:

18" Staggered:
F: 18x9" ET30 - 235/40-18 or 255/35-18
R: 18x9.5" ET35 - 265/35-18 or 275/35-18 (fender roll may be needed with 275's)

18" Square:
F/R: 18x9" ET30 - 255/35-18

If you have any questions more questions regarding fitment, feel free to PM us directly. We are more than happy to assist

-Matt

I had 18" ARC-8s on my last e92 335i, I'm in between a few wheels now:
18" APEX ARC-8
18" OEM 219M
18" OEM 513M
19" OEM 437M
19" AG M359

I'm leaning more towards 19" this time around, but that's not definite. Going to mull it over the next month or two before I make a purchase

For those that have replaced your water pump already. Was it a Siemens or Continental? Just curious as to what the LCI E92s come with since BMW did revise the water pump.

I was going to go 12 rear and 10 front but you seem okay with what you have on 313 Wheels?

I have 20mm in rear now but need to go down to 15, rubbing on stock suspension with my 225m wheels, which are the same size as 313.

I went with 10mm front and 12mm rears. I'll try and get a comparison pic when I go to install them.

You do your research on the 10mm sizing issue with our hubs?

No, but why would there be an issue with 10mm?
