"450-470 whp on 93 only".

That is a Dynojet number on fuel roughly equivalent to our 98 RON.

So as an approximation 285-300rwkW on 98 alone.

But for what it's worth I am not a fan of pushing the envelope of any tune on 98 RON alone, Meth' injection or even just a splash of Ethanol goes a long way in increasing the resistance to knock in our high compression engines.
I think 450 -470whp = 330 -360rwkw, not 280 -300rwkw.
1hp = 3/4kw.

terminator335i The calculation is accounting for slightly higher dyno readings on US dynojets (approx 15% higher compared to Aussie dyno dynamics)

Yes that is correct, I have subtracted 15% from the Dynojet numbers to account for the "happy" US dynos before converting to rwkW.

I will also throw in my thumbs up for JD75 as well. My car would not be running 435kw if it wasn't for his massive input and time. His customer support and flexibility are second to none. He's too safe sometimes and cringes whenever I say "More boost! More power!" so he definitely won't tune your car on the ragged edge just for the sake of a one time dyno run.

What PI fund you end up going with Cashy? And did you go with a Hobbs switch for your stage 3 LPFP??

Finally some love for the N55 guys courtesy of a Pure Turbos Stage 2 turbo upgrade and the usual go fast bits, but please note the vehicle is only running on 98 RON pump gas.

Proper fueling upgrades to allow for a minimum of E42 with a big turbo back-end-flash will see this setup comfortably surpass 350rwkW.

Cheers,

Justin.

If I had an N55, that turbo and bolt ons to support it would be a no brainer. 311kw is a very fast street car.

Do you need a cat back exhaust system to reach those numbers?

The mid-pipes and axle back will have little gains, however a high-flow catted DP or catless DP will be required.

Just to show how far the PS2 will go with proper supporting hardware...

Nice numbers, when MHD release their PS2 OTS map for N55, I wonder when the readings will be.

Also an MHD custom tune.

Sigh.. PS2 or a quaife as the next upgrade?
How long can one survive on a modders diet to pay for both..

Yep, sounds familiar... lol

And in my case living in a "semi-rural" suburb in WA (where almost everyone drives a diesel 4x4 of some sort), a couple of years ago when I 1st bought my 335i I had to drive about 20km just to get RON 98 as most of the nearby fuel stations only had plain unlead or diesel.

The limiting factor at these power levels is the DCT box guys.

The JB4 back-end-flash combo will allow for more power but the OEM clutch packs can't handle the torque developed beyond 340-350rwkW based on my experience.

If the DCT box has been well cared for and not abused in the past at the drag strip or via hard street launches it may go further, but at 350+rwkW we were seeing slippage on that particular vehicle.

Some crazy power there! What fuel was that car on the dyno running? Can anything be done to toughen up the DCT to stop slippage?
