To be honest with you I would recommend you go with an aftermarket double din from Pioneer or alpine and buy a mounting kit from Janus Design. Better sound quality from a mainstream manufacturer. Plus if your car is a logic 7 system you have a lot of rewiring on your hands. I went with the Janus design route on my e92 and am very happy with it. I'm on my phone but I can post pics later if you want

Here are some pics man. This is an Pioneer X930BT. You get USB, bluetooth handsfree, bluetooth streaming, micro sd, navigation, and it's sattellite radio capable. I have hidden the bluetooth mic in the OEM location and have also hidden the GPS antenna and bluetooth antenna under the dash where the center speaker would be located.

The benefit of this setup is that you can have a name brand head unit of your choice with better sound output. Plus you can upgrade your unit as new ones come out if you please. The downfall is that you have to relocate your heated seat controls to where the ashtray would be but it doesn't look bad IMO.

I've installed a few dynavin units in other vehicles and I wasn't very happy with them. I mean they look close to OEM but the overall quality is not there. It's a cheap unit IMO.

No problem man. I did the install myself and it's not a very difficult install if you take it to an experienced install tech. The above link that was posted shoes how much better an aftermarket deck would be. The Kenwood unit is also awesome. In the above example they are showing another custom.mounting kit. The upside is that the vent sits on the bottom. The thing I didn't like about this kit is that in order for the vent to fit it has to stick out at the bottom (the pics in the post don't really show it) and you still have to relocate the heated seats. Whatever you choose any big head unit manufacturer is much better than dynavin.

Good Luck! Let me know if you need any help

Kit cost me approx. 200$. Wire harness cost me 20$. Radio antenna adapter cost me 20$. The heated seat relocation kit cost me 100$. Plus if you want to retain your factory steering wheel controls it will run you about 50$ for a steering wheel control interface.

So roughly 400$ in materials. I don't know about install as I did it myself.

Would you have the makes/ manufacturers of the harness for the steering wheel controls? I have decided on the Kenwood 6" deck and probably the trim kit from Uconnect or Metra...

i just bought and installed the janus designs 2 din kit as well. went ok, was a but sketchy at first, but finished product looks very clean, and oem like. i did not take their recommendation of buying the sunglass tray kit, and cut my ashtray for the heated seat buttons, that, was a mistake. but other than that, i am very happy with having a better deck than the oem. i went with the kenwood that has the garmin gps, and bluetooth. best buy is getting out of car audio all together. so everything is on clearance. i have yet to install the module for the steering wheel controls, that will be next week.

+1 on going to best buy. They are getting out of the car audio market so you may be able to fins come good deals.

As far as mounting kits are concerned DO NOT buy the Metra radio mounting kit. Its terrible...I usually like Metra kits but the one for the e9x is no good. Cheap plastic, leaves a gap at the bottom of the kit, and you have to screw it into your dash at the bottom cutting in unnecessary holes. If you look at closeups of the installs it looks really sloppy IMO. However, their wiring harness, antenna adapter, and heated seat relocation kits are great. As far as steering wheel control interface the Metra Axxess system is awesome. Worked really well with my car and self programming.

You guys are welcome to meet up and check out my setup if you like.
