Ladies and gentleman. The unboxing...

Sorry for the iPhone pics. I just got home 15 mins ago.

First impressions: Everything came packaged nicely. Glad to see it was an aFe box, so I knew it wasn't just pieced together. The pieces themselves are pretty hard plastic and feel very durable. I got the oiled aFe blue filter (I don't mind the maintenance that comes with an oiled filter). All the fittings are there and the instructions are pretty easy... pictures included. I even got a license plate frame
:

I'll try to get it in this weekend am see how the fitment is

Installed and fit great took about a half hour to get everything on and fitted correctly. Unbolt the canister above air intake for easier access trust me you'll thank me when you go to install yours. I'm pretty sure it's the power steering fluid but correct me if I'm wrong

Good call in the power steering removal!

Finally got mine in this morning. Easy install. No error codes or hesitation in the RPM's driving hard. I enjoy the sound. Not to loud, but noticeable. What a great deal!

For those that have installed this, anyone having trouble mounting the intake elbow to the throttle body with the supplied rubber gasket? It keeps slipping off when I try to tighten in down. Any insight?

I had this problem at first too, what I ended up doing was putting the rubber piece about halfway onto the plastic piece for the intake and then pushing them together, it worked much easier, sorry im not the best at descriptions but I hope it helps!

I did the same thing. It was a pain, but the halfway on/off worked. There was also one screw towards the front mounting the air box down was also a pain... Just took a little time, a few curse words, and a beer

It definitely sounds a lot better and noticeable. Not really sure on the power piece... my butt hp tells me it is a little quicker through the RPM's...

Had mine in since April. Love it

Weird thing is that they only had the "carbon fiber" version for 328 and no black one listed. But when I select 128, black version is available for that car. Ordered it under 128. Same engine.

bought mine from autoanything. They had a 20% off deal, and installed it this weekend. put about 200 miles on it so far.

I could not for the life of me install the second mounting screw. The one in the corner is easy since you can access it from the top, but that second one is inside its little cave, barely accessible. The screws that came with it were barely longer than the rubber gromet and couldn't grab the hole. The screw in the corner I just used the one to mount the OEM filter housing, and gave up on the second one, so hopefully nothing bad comes from that.

For connection to the throttle body, I attached the rubber adapter to the tube first, then worked it onto the throttle body, instead of the other way around the instructions say. Just had to make sure the notch in the adapter lines up with the throttle body's nub.

The screws mounting the MAF sensor were also very short. I had to skip the locking washers or the screw wouldn't reach the hole.

The seal from the housing to the tube out the back seems very weak. Just plastic on plastic, with 2 screws holding it together. The holes also didn't line up very well. that probably should have come with some foam sealer.

Other than that, with my PE, it sounds great. My exhaust is a little louder and deeper, but above 3K, the intake overtakes the exhaust note in the cabin.

Just wanted to follow up, doing this along with washing the rubber piece with soap and water did the trick. (It came kind of oily for some reason). Intake sounds great when it kicks in at 3K RPM Thanks for the help!
