Front Right Turn Signal stopped working on 2010 LCI e90

Went to make a right turn and the check bulb light came on and the turn signal indicator was blinking fast. Figured a burnt out bulb. Turns out the front headlight led turn signal stopped working. Right side marker and taillights work fine. Oddly the turn signals work fine when I first start the car and work the first couple of times then it stops working. Made an online app with the dealer but if there is an easy fix or something I can check. I'm comfortable with coding myself and using the BMW logger if this is a starting point.

Before you flame me, I did check this forum and googled to no avail. But I'm pretty frustrated and my patience my have gotten the best of me.

I hope you won't have to replace the entire headlight unit just for the turn signals. I known that's how it would be if you burned out the tail lights.

The problem is weird. It would work correctly for the first couple of times then fail. If I shut the car off, let it sit for a bit and restart, worked ok for a bit and fail again. Last 2 days right front turn signal is not working at all. Glad the car is still under warranty but it's a PITA bringing it to the dealer.

Dealer fixed the problem. They replaced the LED turn signal module on the right headlight. P/N: 63127245816

That's a lot cheaper than the whole headlight assembly.

Thanks for the follow up. It's good to know in case it breaks in the future. did you have xenon or halogen headlights?

That could have easily ran you $800 for the xenon headlight replacement

I have the same problem on the tail light. Cold solder joints on the LEDs, just bad manufacturing. I think my subwoofer has finally rattled the 3 in question loose.

The worst part is that it's an unbelievably easy fix, just reflow the joints with some heat from a soldering iron. Unbelievably easy if the boards that carried the LEDs weren't epoxied in
