It depends on your budget, and what handling/ride comfort compromise you want.

I tried Koni yellows and Eibach Pros to start with which gave a nice drop and a very, very comfortable ride compared with standard M-sport, but they were actually too soft for my preference as the Eibach spring rates are the same as standard, 145/450. I still have them actually, been meaning to sell them, only 1000miles from new.

Your touring looks good mate! finally see them in the picture

I did follow your thread before according the ohlins, would really like a set of them, just cannot stretch out that far just yet. I do want something which improves handling, dont mind if its keeping or little worse than the m sport in terms of comfort, as there are pot holes everywhere in the country.

I will send you a PM regarding your springs, or if you happen still have the koni yellows as well ?

Cheers
Sam

My paint is not exactly dull, but there are a lot of small scratches from the carwash. And no I do not wash it by hand, but at a carwash where i'm happy with the result and I know where I need to wash it by hand in places the machine doesn't.

I like a firm ride and expect the B6-10 10 adjustments can give me that. Otherwise I consider go the full monty with a set of Bilstein B16 instead.

My new Crimson Red M-Sport. Changed the grilles for genuine BMW ones within 1 hour of buying it. Next up will be suspension and Rims.

Both will def do the job, G5 iso with e85 can't go wrong. But just the COBB alone will not disappoint.

Just my ini thoughts as well. Haven't had time to read up on coils yet, but prob not gonna drop the coin on a setup from Ohlins or KWs. If you find something nice give me a PM!

I didn't buy the car to drive fast in a straight line, but I still want to have some fun on the twisties.

Only OEM parts were used for this conversion.
Thank you for the feedback.

Unfortunately I do not have much info on the wheel and tire specs. Lots of custom bodywork has to be done though, so I'm sure a project like that is time consuming and expensive. I'm guessing it's 19x9.5 ET22/19x10 ET25, but not 100% on it.

ST coils. Also adding M3 front control arms, and swapping out tie rods and sway bar end links while the rest is being done.

mate. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a vendor in Europe selling ST coils, good value for the money.

Think they brand them as Weitec over there, very similar to kw v1 basic.

they used to be around 600gbp a set couple of years ago, but no longer now

I know!

There is a brand called AP, I think they are related to KW as well in some way. They are about 500 pounds a set, and around 700gbp ish for a set of dampening adjustable one (APX)

I used to have the weitec on the mk4 golf, they are pretty good.

The price of weitec these day are very close to a set of Bilstein B14!

their prices are pretty good, see clicky
