The AA exhaust comes with a resonator, or you can call it a "small" muffler. Not exactly a muffler delete and it is a lot tamer. Muffler delete is LOUD... inside and outside. Not sure if its appropriate for a 328i hahah.
The active exhausts have what are called helmholtz resonators which is a tube protruding from the exhaust tuned to a certain length to resonate waves opposite to certain droning frequencies. However, I've heard from all of my friends that they do not work effectively. Other than that, it is a muffler delete.

Yes, not very effective under load (2-2.5k rpm). It works a lot better than say, a muffler delete which is loud at almost every rpm range.

Also, not as loud as a muffler delete due to the resonator.

I'm still waiting to see what tips these are. Finding good tips that don't rust out are tough- these are nice!
