I very seriously considered having my car painted frozen black. But Jet Black is hard enough to maintain as it is....couldn't imagine trying to keep Frozen Black clean.

Still, that has got to be one of my favorite car colors ever. Car looks sick.

And, of course, it's parked in 2 spots like a typical BMW douchebag lol

you should do it, i have a few friends who bought the frozen grey M3s and they said that it just takes water and occasionally some soap applied to individual areas.

F10 M5's are fucking badass.

that said, what makes this car a "frozen black" color as opposed to any other car wrapped in matte black vinyl? or is this some new internet thing where anything matte is called "frozen"?

I don't know...I like frozen black for just that reason. It's more of a satin black than a true matte, which I think is interesting.

And for those saying it looks like primer, that may be true, but I have seen my entire car primered and the primered parts from BMW are true matte black and look awful (like a bad plasti-dip job lol) -- trust me, this looks 1000% better

The main reason I didn't have my car painted frozen black is that I worry that it's a trend (like someone said above) and I would eventually regret it. The Satin Guard wraps look almost identical to frozen paint (it's a matte clear/translucent wrap, so your car's color and original paint show through the wrap). That's probably what I'll do eventually, unless i change my mind......

matte colors are hard to upkeep especially matte grey like the one I have, and no its not really out of style since still till this day after having the wrap for over an year and a half I do not see many cars in LA that fully vinyl'ed let alone have matte paint jobs and I sit on the 405 traffic every day back and forth for over 5 years now(busiest freeway in LA)

I like this color actually. I would have to agree it would look a bit better in gray or something that's not black. However, 'frozen black' looks much better than the regular matte black. A bit more satin than matte.
