Motul 75w90 OS Giken lsd diff fluid change

Hey guys just wanted to give you guys some input on this Motul gear 300 fluid I changed out. I was really hesitant on whether I should even consider putting in the gear 300 fluid as its not even close to the OSG fluid which is 80w250 (its like honey).

Well after talking with Redline, OSG and Motul seems like 75w90 was an ok decision...probably would have been better with the 75w140 but I wanted better lock up and only Redline offers 75w140 without the friction modifiers and OSG recommends fluid without any modifiers. OSG also said that the thicker fluid was used to actually reduce noise and chatter so going with such a low viscosity was worrying.

So after I decided to go with the Motul 75w90 I changed out my diff fluid and transmission fluid with this stuff (I had redline atf4 then atf6 and finally mtl fluid and they all seem to get notchy from the get go and didnt last too long)...let me tell you this has to be the best fluid I have used. There is no chatter or noise from the diff and locks up still so smooth and a little quicker now...also not a single notchy feel from the transmission even in cold starts.

I will update after I have driven about 1000 miles, but I am glad I did the change. Motul is the only way im going from now on unless the fluids end up changing.

I also removed my trim and painted them gloss black...let me know when you guys think...posted a few crappy phone pics.

I've heard great stuff about motul. Even for oil.I will be using motul 300v For my next oil change. So you used the same fluid for your tranny And dif? Did you replace the pan filter as well? Looking to do this myself real soon.

I didn't replace the pan filter as I don't think its needed. Plus it would have been much harder to do the fluid change.

Motul makes great stuff, though it's on the pricey side. Those wheels look perfecto btw.

Thanks man...I would have to say so myself...love these wheels...only if I could get the rear wheels to fit up front

Motul makes great stuff, it's defientely getting more popular. Although I do have the Redline friction modifier in my z06, made a world of a difference in reducing chatter and noise. Rear end feels like butter now. (in a good way).

How hard was it to remove the window trim without bending? I was considering doing the same, but most people say not to because it is very hard to not bend.

On the e92 it's really hard to bend
