Discount Tire Direct

I'm soon to order my summer tires from DTD.. anyone care to share any experiences they might have had??

I see that they add valve stems and replacement certificates (totalling almost $100 extra).. should I just remove those items from my checkout cart or are they something I would need?

Thanks fellas.

Used them before when i got my Hankook V12s. Had the best price and shipping took 3-4 business days.

I did not include the tire warranty with my order, if i remember correctly you can still purchase it later on if you do run into a problem.

You posted on another thread looking to mount tires; why don't you get your tires from Tires23 or Simply Tire instead; they are very competitive, and you save yourself the hassle of buying from one place and then having another place install them.

Because even if I factor in mounting/balancing costs with DTD, I am still saving over $100 dollars

Remember to factor in gas money, food etc. :-)

For $100 bucks savings only, I would do it locally. That was what I did. Turned out to be about $150 savings only which wasn't enough for me to make the trip down to the states.

i've used DTD before, they have the BEST customer service and the insurance (tire replacement) is WORTH IT!!
I bought one tire from them and they asked me if i wanted insurance for the other 3 tires, i told them that i didn't buy the other tires from them, they said it doesn't matter, i bought the certificates. Couple of month later, one of my tires got fked up, gave them a call then they sent me a new one no questions asked, didnt send the tire to them and no pics needed. I was surprised, i told them you guys dont need some pics to prove it? their answer was "we trust our customers"
I had 2 options, send it to mtl was gonna cost $70 (includes shipping, taxes, duties, etc) or send it to the US for $30. I sent it to the US cuz i was gonna go to pick up some mods anyways, plus i ended up not paying taxes on the $30 since its a replacement lol.

These guys are the best..I ordered all my wheels and tires from them..they came mounted balanced ready to put on the car.

Last week had 2 TPMS sensors stop working..called them..I didnt even know these were under warranty for a year..they sent me 2 for free AND they are reimbursing me for the installation..Great company

I've probably bought 20 tires from them over the years and I've never had a single problem. Excellent customer service and fast shipping, plus I find myself getting discounts now every time I buy from them.

Living right by the Washington border, I have them shipped to the U.S. I've calculated that I'm paying about 70% (mounting, taxes included) of what I would pay if I bought them from a local b.c. tire store.
