Any 2008 Orders?

I was just wondering if anybody put any money down to be first on the list to get an 08, as September would be your month to get a 3 if you were buying a BMW today anyway (coupe at least).

I know details are not etched in stone, but I know people here would want to have the coolest hippest stuff. I read on here that a new audio system will be in the car, and that is enough to sell me.

I have a deal with my dealer for $1200 over invoice on a 2008 328i Coupe. The dealer will also mount/balance my aftermarket wheels in the deal. Should I pull the trigger, and is there anybody else out there negotiating?

Don't go for it, that's friggin BS! I got $1600 off of my '08 335i, and the dealer agreed not to charge me any difference in the price of the car if it ends up increasing (which everyone is thinking it will).

BTW, where did you hear about this new audio system in the '08s? I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me a link of two.

So what should I ask for on an 08? I am paying 1200 over invoice and this would be bad? You are getting 1600 off MSRP... I am a little confused... what do you suggest?

If the $1200 over invoice includes the MACO & training fee, that's not too bad. If you have to add MACO & training fee, you are probably looking at an additional $480. Have your dealer layout exactly what he means by invoice.

i see in the "what are people paying for their e92s" thread, that $1200 over invoice gets a comment on how good a deal the person negotiated. Are we expecting 2008 to allow for even more haggling, and how do we determine that?

MACO is a marketing fee that the dealership pays for advertisment around town. I remember reading that, for example, in Socal the dealerships group themselves together to advertise as Socal BMW dealers.

Training fee is another one that the dealership pays to get their salespeople, technicians, service advisors, cats, dogs, trained in their products.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it's something along those lines.

Oh ok, I guess that makes sense then. I don't remember seeing any of those charges on my invoice, but then again there are like 5 or 6 additional charges so it could've easily been one of those. lol
