Wow, the transformation is incredible. The car is absolutely gorgeous. You are also building on a fantastic platform. That's why I do look at these conversions as reasonable vs buying up to an M3. A simple tune and you wont' be at risk of being embarrassed of the line.

Or maybe they are just rich and have a lot of money to spare unlike you.

They're Breytons.
I respect this build so much, I'm from a place (originally) where an R8 costs about 280k aswell, and tbh I respect your build and its coming on to be perfect, can't wait till its done, keep us updated, the whole things looking awesome. Shafz.

LOL, patience! I know I promised some new pics this weekend although due to commitments I've been unable to go to the workshop to take pics of the latest progress

More pics please!!!!! You're killing us here.... BTW great respect for your project. Very tasteful. If I may suggest only one thing would be to get some racing seats. I don't know why, but I personally don't think beige is sporty enough and the seat bolsters on the 335 are somewhat deficient. Anyways weather you do this or not, you already have an amazing machine.

A few pics of the Stett Charge Pipe for Forge Diverter valves, even though the engine bay is dirty, just looking at the quality of this pipe impresses me, I have no fears that the pipe will blow off
Also below is my customised instrument cluster which was actually the first mod I did on my car Have fun trainspotting what's changed there! You'll also note that the short shifter from BMW Performance is installed but I retained the standard boot as I think the Alcantara one attracts a bit too much dust! More pics to follow soon!

Hi Zellex,
My cost was a little cheaper I guess than most cause I had the majority of the parts to begin with. The only part I had to purchase was a used e92 M3 cluster, which I tore apart for the instrument surrounds and needles. Then I had new SMD LEDs soldered onto the original 335i circuitboard and stuck the original instrument faces onto the m3 instrument surrounds and voila! You have a "kinda" different instrument cluster But for all intent and purposes you could also reuse the SMD from the M3 circuitboard if you want as well but the SMDs have a whiteish green tinge where as I wanted a whiteish blue tinge. Hope that helps!

The mod on the cluster is awesome man. I see you have the DCT surrounding, can't you find a manual cluster so there are no those little holes on top??? After all these extensive modding, that shouldn't be ignored.

Fantastic post - Great job!!!
I can just imagine the instant gratification you get every time you get/see a new part installed/finished. Sure one can run out and get a M3 instead but there's nothing like "building" something oneself... It's kind of like spending time chasing after girls vs just going out and pay for a hooker!! Thanks for sharing and do keep us posted
