Any Wide body XIs

Are there any 335xi cars with widebody kits? Post pictures if so please, we'd be interested in seeing that. Additionally, does the AWD system pose any challenges or limiting factors? -Nailer335

In an attempt to rephrase a post I didn't make... Hey. Are there any 335xi cars with widebody kits? Post pictures if so please, we'd be interested in seeing that. Additionally, does the AWD system pose any challenges or limiting factors?

(maybe this?)

Good job in deciphering that. I took a few classes in retard back in freshman year of college but never finished. It really got me down....

Staggaring your wheels already oppose limitations to the XI system. Doing a wide body on XI doesn't make much sense.

It depends on what you mean by widebody. Are you doing front and rear quarters, or rear only? If you are doing front and rear, there should be a reason why this wouldn't work. If you are doing rear only, while not the smartest decision, as long as you keep the wheel/tire diameters close, you should be alright.

While I'm honored to be quoted exactly, it was never my concern my fellow xi friend. My rephrasing wasn't meant to be offensive by any means. I'm offending enough people already and really resolving to go the extra mile to not get threats on my life haha but among the little I do know in life (depending on who is talking and just how offended they are by me), you have to go the extra mile articulating your thoughts to get where you want, especially on the Internet and public boards where humans feel emotions that distract from the points of the OP, or otherwise befuddle the OP in any given board or situation. You already know this I bet, maybe I'm just trying to sort through my own head lol

I myself am torn by the form/function issue we xi owners/leasers deal with at least every time we walk to our cars

Or it might be the extra 1.5" of wheel gap that we live with as XI owners. LOL

Staggering the wheels make no difference, so long as the rolling diameter between front and rear axles stays within a 1% margin, to prevent the offsetting of a differential.

You could go as wide as you want. The AWD serves as no disadvantage. We actually have an advantage in exit speeds.

LOL i'm convinced that 75% of the threads in the XI forum are about or end up referencing the staggered tire/rolling circumference issue.

Def post your findings and what you eventually decide to do.

Being able to run 275/35 race scrubs square would be fun and frugal.

i want to see what the cons are for doing a widebody. I went to the body shop to get a bumper repainted and he was telling me its not smart repainting metal on the quarter panel.

negative, nothing serious. 9.5 fronts with a 235/35 will fit fine. im going to run 9.5 and 10's out back, 235 275.
