Thats not your MASK dump is it? Thats a TRC file of the whole car right? I see bulb checks etc.

I wonder if you properly added the VO code to both modules and then properly recoded the car in order to have the changes take place in the first place.

Also if you didn't update your files properly that could also lead to an error.

It could be lots of things

Hope we can all help you get to the bottom of this.

For instance on a 5 series, there is no standard line so you would read the LMA (5 series equivalent of the FRM) with NCS and open NETTODAT.TRC

Then in that file you look for a specific sequence, the 5-series being:
B 00340500,0010,95,71,00,83,0A,00,51,00,14,53,01,15, 59,04,00,00
You change the "95" byte to 97 and save it as NETTODAT.MAN
Then in NCS, select basic functions/coapiCodeSgByNettoDATA Type "NETTODAT.MAN" in the input box, and finish.
Do you know what line to change? The E90 doesn't have 95 and 97, if I'm looking at what I think I'm supposed to look at.

IFH-0003 Datatransmission to Interface Disturbed

IFH-0003 Datatransmission to Interface Disturbed

Bought this cable:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...d=822819472001

2009 335i Coupe
Windows 7 Starter 32bit on Lenovo Netbook

Ediabas 6.4.7
INPA 5.0

COM Port auto installs as 3, changed to COM 1
Latency set to 1 as recommended
FIFO buffers set to 8 in registry

Uninstalled Windows COM port drivers that were auto installed when cable plugged in
Installed latest drivers from FTDI website v2.08.14 (plug has a FTDI labelled chip inside)

Ediabas set to correct OBD interface
INPALOAD appears to be up and running. Two black dots (battery and ignition)

Load e90 [F9]

Goto Karosserie > airbag then get IFH-0003 error

Cable originally had pins 7 and 8 soldered together. I removed the solder bridge and even physically removed pin 8. Still getting the IFH-0003 error.

Any suggesstions?

I had a similar issue forever with my NCS. I had a guy remote into my laptop and he said that my edibias.ini had not been 'replaced' and that's what was causing the interface disturbed error. If you know what that means, try that and maybe that will work. I wasn't exactly sure what he meant by telling me it needed to be replaced but he did it and I haven't had a problem since.

If I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and have installed XP mode, am I supposed to do the setup in my regular Windows or XP mode? Reason I'm asking is because I did everything in XP mode but when I run INPA, the two dots won't turn black.

You have to use the XP VM in traditional windowed mode rather than XP mode. The reason you probably have no black dots is because you probably haven't attached the cable to the VM (you don't see that option in XP Mode) and then perform the DIY steps in the XP environment.

Has anybody been successful with coding the 3 amber leds off on a 335is? I have tried most of the amber/side marker codes and none of them seem to work.

Light sensitivity

I have a 2011 E90 with iDrive. I understand that I cannot code the sensitivity control screen because of this. But instead of gaining access to the sensitivity control screen, is it possible to code in one of the values (turn on lights when it's darker than factory preset), and just have that setting? or are the values only adjustable with the BC menu?

In other words, I don't care if I can't adjust it on the go. I just want the setting changed to activate with less light and leave it at that.

Thanks.

I was also unable to do this on a 2012 335is. Go on b m w coding .com and find the thread in the E9x subforum about this, they list more possible lines to change that aren't in the spreadsheet. I haven't had a chance to try it again.

I have been following that thread already and have tried everything. Those codes seem to be possible turning off the single LED amber, but not the 335is's 3 led ambers. I tried those codes on a 2012 X6 as well with the single LED amber but also wasn't successful.

Help setup

When I bring up INPA on my win7 I get api32.dll missing error. When I bring up Ediabas it comes up but when I go to file and click on e90 i get rightx32.ocx missing error or an .ocx error when I click on new test. I will let you remote in if that is easier. Just want to clear the passenger seat airbag code on dash. t/u

Here is the frm trc file. I can't upload it in TRC format, so I changed it to text. Just change it back to TRC and it should be the same.

I have tried all the side marker codes but they don't work so these are the unchanged version.

thanks!!

I'm curious about this too. I bet it's a hardware functionality, though. The radio must support it, and then there is nothing to code.
