anywho, i will be trying this very soon as i have a set on their way..

I will test if it works without harness, however all kits are saying that harness is required.

They work perfect without any harness.
that's exactly what happpened with my E92.

There's definitely an oem retrofit harness. You may not have noticed it if it's already attached to the lights. Simply converts the new connector to the old one. It's only a few bucks from what I recall. The $200 one I suspect has some extra resistors to avoid coding. Sounds like a rip to be honest. Getting them coded or doing the coding yourself is a better solution.

Why not just spend a lil extra - Buy them from Stu and less headache?
I think if you show him some love i.e mula - He will install too? (Could be wrong about that though)

All rumours and hear say will be tested soon folks!

like i said, i have a set coming from BMR and Stu and myself will test the harness situation.

From everything i've seen, the harness is needed for all LCI upgrades as the clips/sockets are different.

But all will be confirmed in 2 weeks or so.

So it looks like you just need to switch the yellow and green wire over?

Do you know the part number for the harness? I am sure that there is someone out there either overseas or within Oz that sells the harness for less than $200.

EDIT!

There you go guys.

OR FOR $89.00+shipping here- http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...23-3-series-m3 (I'm not too sure whether this harness kit is OEM)

Yeah you need the harness, unless you're an epic tight ass and want to do some wiring. It's just an adapter to convert the pre lci plug from the car to fit in the new lights. They're cheap and the 1 part number has both the left and right harnesses.

Then you need to 'code' disable the bulb checks. The new foot well module isn't really needed unless you have the real old module 2 and want to recode the software rather than remove bulb checks afaik.

If the harness is available for less than $200 as Rob has kindly pointed out then BMR's price of $995 will certainly be coming down!!

Shane, Have you spoken to Stuart as well?

I would be down for a set (for e93), but I'd rather support Stuart because he supports the community so much and is a great guy to deal with.

No mate I haven't, I never even did consider the fact that I'm essentially 'cutting his grass' on this one either...

Wont hurt to ask him though!!

And yes the price shall be ~ $650 with the harness inner and outer euro style lenses.
The forum should always be about members helping other members first. I am sure Stu is big enough to understand this.
