Disconnect the lights, or better just the AE bulb ( or cable) and see if the error goes away. Then, measure the voltage between ground and pin 1 (AE). Also, I would suggest to compare resistance ( ohm meter) on both lights AFTER disconnecting them. Measure between pins 1 and ground ( with and without bulb but WITHOUT POWER CONNECTED!!!!) This way we should be able to see if the unit is even trying to power the AE and also if you have short in the housing. Last edited by Virterm; 05-23-2012 at 10:25 PM.. |

Did you measure resistance on the AE without power ?

I would suggest to check for short first. This could be preventing you from resetting the counter.... However I don't think that this is it. Please look at the thread from my email the other day, they talk about resetting the counter. But again, have your light disconnected or at least pin 1 to make sure that there is no short to ground so the FRM will not try to protect itself. If you find a short with ohmmeter, we will know exactly the cause of this problem. It must be either short to ground or just over current protection caused by 35w power consumption. You never unswered my question about coding off cold and warm checks for bulbs , did you do that?

This thread has helped me a lot with the coding, as I'm also doing the conversion recently. I'm going from pre-lci halo to pre-lci euro non-adaptive, does anyone know if I can do the same left/right adjustment? should have taken some pics before putting them on the car, but just couldn't wait.

Well, if you are moving from halogen to xenons you need to either modify your OEM harness or light housing inside. You can find several sets of instruction on this forum. There is no need to modify wiring at the other end of the OEM harness.

my car was nLCI with xenon.
after retofit to LCI front/rear was the same problem.AE form right doesn't work. but the problem isn't the coding.you have cu change cable from FRM to headlights like an LCI diagram. cables dosen't the same from nLCI to LCI. from nLCI the wire from AE is located in PIN 1,but from LCI wire from PIN 1 it's for three leds. That is the problem for which angel eyes doesn't make dimming.

Hi All,
i have purchased a set of xenons and new footwell module for my e87 and i can't get them to work. I went to dealer to code the footwell module for xenons but few seconds after the car is turned on, angel eyes goes of. Computer is giving a short circuit fault. Could any one help with this please? i tried to add an error canceller and also changing pin 5 to pin 6 but no luck. |
