Hand Waxing, Ploshing, etc.
I have a few products like Chemical Guys M-Seal, V36 polish and Butter wet wax on hand. I don't have any kind of polisher though and don't really plan on getting on because I live in an apartment for 90% of the year and have no where to clean my car myself during that time.
Is it possible to apply these products by hand? Is it even worth it or will it be such a pain and probably make the car look worse? |

Sealants and waxes can be applied by hand - I do quite often and in some cases it can be easier (e.g., a paste wax).
But machine polishing is, from what I've read, the only true way to get out swirls and other minor defects if that's what you're goal is. |

There are also some polishes that work pretty well by hand such as Menz 203s, Gtechniq P1 and Farecla Scratch Remover.

thank you to both of you. I guess I will go ahead and attempt the 2 day project that detailing my car seems to be haha. My main goal is to just try to clean it up and put on a new coat of protection. I do have quite a few swirls but I can't see them unless I get really close so they are not of top priority at the moment.
I'll check out Menzerna polish next time but am going to go ahead and try the M-Seal this time around because I already have it. Lastly, can anyone please suggest what color applicator pads I should use for the polish and what color pads i should use for the wax, and for the sealant? Thanks again. I really appreciate all of your help. |

now that you mentioned it i think that my order came with a microfiber applicator pad. i got all of the items together so i wasn't sure if the pad was for anything specific. must be for the sealant i guess.
