In any case, I'll see of they can replace. As I said there are a few other things. My suspension is groaning a bit when I get in and out of the car, I'm thinking the springs need to be replaced and shocks me be wearing out.

I'm gonna try that special lube stuff for the rubbers to help it last. Our weather here is ass backwards...very hot and then very cold, been inconsistent these past few years.
Old bump, Zebra what was the final verdict of this? My car's been out of warranty and I'm getting same problem too. Esso car wash!

And the solution of "just don't use automatic car washes" is a retarded solution. Whether I choose to hand wash or automatic wash, water should not be leaking under any circumstances

Funny- this thread pops up just as I discovered a leak where the passenger side hardtop meets the windshield.
It's at the dealer as we speak.
I'm just hoping they don't mess up the roof pistons- Morristown BMW spent three days getting them
perfect....

I believe the manual specifically states that E93 should not be put through a high pressure car wash, such the the ones commonly found in touchless/automated car washes.

mine leaks on the right hand side rear window when i pressure wash. I will also get small leaks along where the front and rear windows meets but it all depends on whether I point the pressure washer directly at the joint.

Mine was leaking during the day yesterday. Yes pressure washers in general are bad for all types of vehicles.

Garage List
I wouldn't say a pressure wash is exactly bad for all vehicles, I would say that for our convertibles you really need to be picky where you go. I only had problems at one particular Esso (Sheppard/Markham) otherwise all the others I never leaked in.

I guess it's because of it being so much closer to the car itself...If you can find a wash that is a fair distance from the body of the vehicle the pressure becomes less of a concern and the roof should be able to handle it.

I tend to hash wash when I can, but sometimes I'm lazy!

Oh guilty as charged here bro. I learned the hard way awhile back about that window area at a car wash where they used the trigger hand held pressure washers. Got a money shot right in the face
