seriously...how can you wait 6 months for your car part? I can't. I'm having hard time waiting 6 days...but damn 6 months!? They better send you two, so you can put one on your car and hang one on your wall.

C'mon Vorsteiner, 6 months and counting? i could've weaved my own CF hood with my bare hands during that time.

sorry to hear you guys being treated like this... especially on such an expensive product from a company that markets itself as prestigious.

this really sucks balls... Vorsteiner essentially took your money and held it for 6 months without paying interest. They probably invested your money anyways and even if you demanded a refund its still a win win for them.

Update...
My body shop now has the hood.
It is all done and over with.
He picked up the hood and inspected it thoroughly and only found a little nick on a part that will be painted ayway.

Next, dealing with the insurance companies...

Ive said this several times over the years, but Vorsteiner fucking blows rectal cavities.

On my old e92 335, I had powerdome hood, ver. 1 rear diffuser, and bootlid spoiler (non-cf).

ALL 3 parts fitment was terrible. I skipped **********s and went straight to Vorsteiner. Not only did I get treated like shit, but they were insulted when I showed them the shit fitment of the diffuser and spoiler on my own car.

In the end, they had to make me 2 diffusers and 3 spoilers before I was (somewhat) content. The hood always fit like hell.

They do make cool looking parts. Thats it.

I normally can't wait on anything too. I really don't know how I waited this long.

Well, I'm not getting any other products from them ever again.

It's good that you got the hood. Hope everything goes well with your insurance company

If I have known about these issues with Vorsteiner, I would have not gotten their products.

Maybe they will read this tread and get their act together.

the fitment on my csl trunk was slightly off. the tip of the trunk was slightly more rounded on the left than the right however it is barely noticable since the lines match up. but they have never replied to any of my 5 emails regarding anything haha. i hope they clean up their act, i like their products.

i think that's an issue.
I've heard that Seibon has major fitment issues.
Challenge is actually THE best CF product that I've seen in person but it's very expensive.
I guess you get what you pay for.
And, I don't know if they even make a hood for our cars.

I do hear great things about the fitement for the Vorsteiner hoods and from what I've seen of them on a car, the fitment looks great.
It doesn't change the fact that you have to wait almost a half a year to get the fricken thing.

BTW, my body shop just got my rear bumper so they now have all the parts.
It looks like I'm going to get my car back either on the end of next week or the beginning of the week after.

@ Mr. 5 - Sorry to hear all that trouble you went through. On the plus side, I went to the same body shop to get my rear bumper painted and set up. They did a mighty fine job. I'm sure Enrique will take care of you!

post pics when its all done!

geezus that's ridiculous. i understand that things don't always go as planned and delays can occur...but when delivery dates are MONTHS off...that's pretty bad.

i'll be heading into month 4 soon for my Volks...but at least they're made in a different country! <and it's a pretty safe assumption that if the vendor doesn't have the wheel in stock...it's gonna be a few months>

I thought I would give an update.

Thanks to Eric at SupremePower, he set up a meeting with a member from Vorsteiner. Vorsteiner completely understood the frustrations that I went through and they did their best with explaining the delay. The unfortunate thing is that there were others that were feeling the same pain as myself. Vorsteiner moved to a larger shop and they changed their carbon fiber process.
I asked if I could get a tour of the shop and to see their processes but Vorsteiner said that it violates their rules. They said that only the actual workers are allowed access back in their shop. They even said that it is even thumbprint protected.

They made a rare exception for John at JLevi because he recently visited and got a tour. I'm not expecting Vorsteiner to change their process just for me, but for all of those that think that these products are made in China, then the words coming from a moderator/member holds more weight than a vendor because I have absolutely no vested interest in any of these products. I'm not going to care either way. I'm just trying to post the facts.

Anyways, for those interested in the tour that Nick had, you can read up on it here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...4180&highlight

I'll be honest, I feel a lot better about seeing the pictures in the thread because it does show that they are actually working and making products instead of importing them from China.

More updates will come.

I looked at the thread and saw no such thing. Am I being too critical? Warehouse + prototypes only? Great pics though, JLevi worked hard to organize the thread for easy reading, clearly =]
