Just print out the shipping label, stick it on the tire, and take it to ups/fedex!

dont need to put in box. if ur shipping 4 tires. take 2 tires and put the side by side liek this http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...ress/tire1.jpg
and put some paper around it the wrap thick tape around it. - dont need to wrap all the way around.

and then yea put a shipping label on it.

so it should be 2 packages of 2 tires.

New rule..and UPS is ripping us a new one with it. If things are not boxed you get a nasty surcharge. My sister works at a UPS brown store.

Tirerack has a special arrangement with UPS or Fedex. I shipped some wheels/tires to Utah recently..it was mega expensive...due to size...not weight.

I have found FedEx Ground to be cheaper than UPS. Your experience may differ. Make sure and check both.

I hate buyers that don't read the fine prints....hope he's willing to pay for the s/h... if not... you should cancel the transaction and file for ebay credit back.

Yeah completely agree! I've sent the guy several emails saying "when are you coming to CA to pick up your tires?" Lots of work I didn't want to have to deal with.
Thank you for your ideas guys!

Just take each tire and put a a piece of cardboard cut out in a circle on each side of the tire and tape the crap out of it. Wrap each one with cardboard individually and then just have them mark each one as package 1,2,3,4 of 4. This is how tirerack ships wheel/tire combos and I just shipped a set of 18" rims/tires through UPS like this with no problems.

UPS = That "surcharge" is actually negotiable, and you can haggle with the store owner on whether or not the charge occurs... I hate UPS and their random charges. I took a set of wheels to 3 different UPS stores one time, and got three significantly different shipping rates...all within 5 miles of each other.

The best bet is to go to a UPS owned center..not these stupid UPS stores..they all charge different..UPS direct charges the same no matter where you go.
