Hey Guys,

I started a small GB on these cameras a few weeks back, and was surprised at how quickly the gb filled up.

I understand that a few other members were interested in getting the camera but didn't make it in time for the gb.

I managed to track down a local vendor that is selling the cameras at a great price.

They are a very well known company and also sell a lot of BMW parts.

These are the GoPro HD 1080 Motorsport edition (the highest model).

Retail price at bestbuy (only sell the helmet edition as well) is: $350 + tax

Next mod is selling them for : $300 +tax

Now if you buy them before the end of this week, the special price is $280+tax.

This price alone makes it better to buy locally than from the states.

To place the order, you can purchase it from their store. Be sure to call ahead of time to check stock (limited quantity).

To get the special price, mention that you are an e90post member and place the order before the end of this week (has 4 in stock for this price).

Anybody try to check what employee pricing on these are at bestbuy? Maybe that could work out pretty cheap as well.

You going to get an employee to buy a few of these under employee pricing..umm I don't think they would be willing to do that.

They would definitely be cheaper... not by too much though. I used to work at one a few years back but I highly doubt the people I know would go through that much trouble. I can ask though!

That price is for the Motorsport kit, which includes everything listed in the previosu GB thread.

Also (if you read my post), bestbuy sells the gopro hd helmet version not the motorsport version.

The motorsport version has a suction mount that is used to attach the camera to the car. Technically you should add another $40 to the best buy price to get this accessory (where as it is already included in the motorsport gopro bundle).

Just and FYI for those thinking it is cheaper to buy from Bestbuy (probably not) using someones employee discount,

Read the post and I did see that, just suggesting to those who may be cool with the helmber version to try the bestbuy employee discount.

I remember in my car audio days I used to get stuff for disgustingly cheap on employee discount and even now for all electronics usually get ridiciulous pricing. It's an avenue to look into for those who have the contacts.

Motorsport kit has the suction mount kit that attaches to the car (or any smooth surface).

It also includes the other mounts etc shown in the picture above.

Yes they are.

Just got an email from the owner of nextmod. He has 7 more instock. Call him up and he should still be able to give you the discount pricing.

Great quality cameras. Just tested this out during my cruise and the quality is amazing. Be sure to have at least an 8gb class 4 memory stick (2 gb for 20 mins of 720p footage) :-)

For those with hookups at bestbuy, it is cheaper... even after buying the extra accesories... see if you can get someone to hook you up
