ive never done it on BMW's bot alot of cars have a "press fit" bearing that you need a bearing driver for.
But more than likely you can do it yourself if you research a little.

You need a press to get the bearing out. Spindle needs to come off the car and mounted face down to press the hub first out of the bearing, then the bearing out of the spindle.

If you've never used a press I don't think I'd DIY this one.

Come on Matt, maybe for you it takes 2 hours. lol. That's like a fat person telling someone it only takes about 20 minutes to polish off a bag of oreos but we all know it takes a little longer.

Eh, I just had my front passenger bearing replaced under warranty about 2 weeks ago before I was about to get my coils installed.

I need one of my front wheel bearings changed ... the dealer quoted me $432.98 for parts, that's for the whole wheel hub assembly. Are they ripping me off you guys think? Would I just need the bearing itself? I just have a plain jane 325i, no all-wheel.

Part #BM31-21-6-765-157 to be exact!
