EBC Sport Rotors / Cool Carbon Pads

- This maybe should be in the Brakes / Suspension section; but since my intention is to improve my breaking at the track, I decided to put it here.

- I also posted this on 1addicts, but figured I'll add it here, since this gets frequented a bit more often, and the setup is similar for those that are interested.. Hope you guys don't mind a rogue 135i on your section

I've done one HPDE day with cool carbon pads and OEM Stock Rotors. Performance was surprisingly good. I wasn't going 100% though, cause I still had certain feelings that it'll over heat and fade, but could've just been paranoid.

I ordered a set of EBC Sport Rotors, and will be trying out this combo on Feb 4th at PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway). Will probably update this thread on how it goes, I just installed and bedded them in, so hoping for good results.

Thanks for looking and I'll keep you posted for anyone that's interested.

Good luck with your EBC's. I don't know about you, but I would leave the street pads for the streets. Not having confidence with braking when tracking does not make for a fun day at the track. I've heard good things about Ferodo ds2500 for a "hybrid" pad, but would stick with a true track pad as our cars are very heavy. Can't wait to hear about the review though.

I'm def shopping for race pads, DT70s and DT60s, but if I don't get them in time, figured this is not such a bad combo. Will really like to keep, as you mentioned these for just street pads.

Thanks for the feedback

Don't forget to always match your pads to the level of grip your tires have.

I just installed the same combo on my car, and I'm liking it. Nice progressive feel, no noise. Way better than factory.
