Order Number

Hey, all. I put my order in for the 330i this past Thursday and since have not heard from my CA regarding my order number. Is there a considerable wait before you get an order number? I don't know anything about order/production number b/c my last car was one that I took off the dealer lot.

my car is on a ship on its way here, I'm not sure how the dealers out there work (im assuming its all the same, since its BMW) but I got my "production #" the day after i put my deposit down, and my car started production 3-4 days later

I ordered 2/17/2006 if that helps any?

Once the dealer places the order, they get a production number. Tell your CA you what that number so you can track your car on the BMW web site.

I guess maybe the order wasn't put in yet? I put the order in along with the deposit on Thursday. I stopped by on Saturday and he said the computer systems were down and he would have it by Monday. Didn't hear from him yesterday. I don't really want to bother him, but I would imagine he would have at least contacted me by now.

Call him for your production number / status ... you're buying a BMW from him, you have every right!

If you don't want to "bug" him, you can call the dealership and ask to be dropped into his voice mail and leave him a message. But then you have to wait and drive yourself crazy wondering if he checked it or not.

My CA promised me my production number by mid-week (I ordered on a Friday, really close to closing). I waited until Thursday to call him, and he was not one bit annoyed. In fact, he was thrilled to give me my number, knowing from here on out I'll bug the folks at the 800 number for my info.

If they have placed the order - which means they have a vehicle available to them, they have an order number. Let them earn their money.

I just got my production # and checked my order details on the oc, I did not see any mention of the interior color, is it normal?

I've seen people say that the info sometimes is not correct and the options may not be right but from day one mine had the correct list of options and colors.

What does it say next to Interior Description?

You could always call the 800 number and verify the info but maybe juts wait a few days and see if it gets updated.

there is no interior description, only exterior description....all the options and the exterior color listed are correct, just no mention of interior color.

Actually, I just checked the OC, and it had the interior color description listed underneath the exterior color.
