Hey man, yeah i got it done. After 3 hours of blood, sweat, tears, and shame (at the hand of my gf making fun on me) I got the jb4 installed including the spark plugs (had some cylinder misfires, its all good now).

It runs like a beast, I was autotuning on map 5 and logging quite a bit to send to Terry, cant wait to throw e85 in it.

Only problem was that my radio stopped working (after reconnecting my battery) however that is most likely related to the battery being replaced by myself and not registered. taking it to BMW today. Other than that, the car is a dream.

Tonight will be DCI install, and eventually OCC bc it is a bitch to install without a helper (those damn nipple clips)

No joke. I did a single coil this year and It was second from the back... that back one looked like a total bish to get to.

How difficult was the JB4 and did you do the DP Fix? I know you said you didn't have DPs yet but I was just curious if you pre-empted it since you were installing. NC is going to require it come NCSI time.

I could help you on the OCC install, never done one on a BMW, but I follow directions as well as the next lemming. It would have to be a Friday though, and the next two are looking very iffy unless you want to get together and do my FBO and your OCC.

Hoping for DP and JB4 this week, then nothing next week for the holiday, then FMIC following Friday. I don't DD this thing yet so I can thankfully leave the bumper/lower cover off while I knock out everything under the car.

Gotcha, good plan, ill have to let you know about friday.

I didnt add the DP fix, from what I understood the G5 ISO has it within. but even if it doesnt, my car is registered in FL - no emissions YAY!!!!

Yeah you won't get a CEL from it. The code 'sets' but JB4 auto-clears. That won't pass NC emissions because it doesn't set readiness in OBDII. I'd go into more detail, but as you stated, cars registered out-of-state don't have to worry about it.

My car, on the other hand, has to go through all the bs, so I bought the fix with the rheostat. That's actually the part I'm not sure about, but it should be easy enough if I take my time.

I hope you have a lift to do downpipes. They are a PITA!

While not impossible, it really is a hell of a job to do on ramps. I personally would never ever do it again.

Well I just read that on ramps you have to do everything blind, but on jackstands you have an 18" hole to put your arms in and it's a lot easier (dropping the rack vs. just moving it 1").

So now I have the dilemna of putting it on stands without those funky adapters, or buying ramps and a creeper and spending 3x longer than necessary under the car...

You just picked up an e90 right? If you see me, say what's up! Pretty sure i'm the only PB e92 with black wheels around, so you cant mistake me!
Oh ok, Harris is hard to get peoples attention on the other side because of how wide the median is but ive definitely seen you around! ohhhhh, I was going off the colors of the e82 which have the cashmere silver, yours is a little darker i believe right?

Yup!! Just picked up a BSM e90 335i with style 162s on it. Only thing i have so far is black grills. If its during the morning or daytime, I like to run the AEs with the fogs on so you can look for that.

Coil packs are easy to get to if you take the cowl off first.

Installed my intake today. And added 4.5 gallons of e85. (Sent all logs and they were super good).

Car is a pure animal. The Gs are ridiculous. I can't even. My evo is a corolla compared to this 335.

Btw got the shirt throw clutch stop from BMS. I highly recommend it. That long throw of the clutch was terrible and made me miss my evo. Now it feels the same distance.

And yes that's a euro plate (only out it to cover holes on front bumper that were there for a license plate). Says scout bc in the army I'm a scout.

Nice. Which plugs did you use and did you price shop?

My 335i runs great with no misfires, but I know plugs are highly recommended and sometimes required with JB4.

Ok, what in the actual shit.

Just got my car up on ramps. Got on the creeper, and I can't fit under the damn car. I'm an average size 'merican. 6'0", 225, not *too* fat. I'm in the gym 3x a week, etc. What gives? I have to extend my arm all the way to reach the downpipe bolts on the midpipe.

This ish ain't cool, but is it normal? I figured I'd at least not have my chest compressed by the lower cover while seeing if I could reach the bolts.

Lol. Unknown but less than $300. I'll let you know tomorrow.

I should have known. A guy I know quoted $400 and made a point to tell me what a pita it is.
