I noticed a very small dent on the arch and the best price i could get was £50 (expensive shopping trip imo). I would like to see if i could pop this out myself. Does anyone know a how to guide on opening the back and pushing it out and/or any other helpful tips?

What arch is it rear or front? If you do attempt this yourself be careful when doing so also heat the dent up a little with a heat gun to soften the paint.

Its the front left. I think ill use a hair dryer rather than a heat gun as the hair dryer maybe a safe option?

Coupe and 'vert are the plastic ones.

From his previous posts it is an E90 LCI SE, so would be metal.

Yes E90 LCI SE, so i take it theyre metal. How do i open the back cover? I tried gently to lift it off but i didnt want to cause further damage so a little cautious before i start to take actions.

I think i would pay the £50 rather than arse about and possibly cause more damage.

Do you think £50 is expensive, for someone to travel to your house in their vehicle, bring all their tools and equipment, not to mention their knowlege and experience. Then take 10 or 20 or 30 mins or so to carefully work on your car, do a good job, give you a bill and then drive away again?

I'd go with a franchised Dent devils or similar, they're usually very good and these dents don't just 'pop' out they are carefully massaged back into place with a variety of tools.

Its something i would like to try.

Most never do a good job and i think its something i could pick up. I would never know unless i try it.

Now i appreciate everyones advise, but if we could please keep replies to the question that would be great as i am aware of the disdvantages etc.

Seems an expensive bit of kit to practice on don't you think?

Thanks for your kind words. Hopefully i dont need to visit a good bodyshop but if i do ill look in yellow pages as the answer would be there.
