Advan 335 E92

Hi all
Well its time to start the mods on my new toy, at the end of the day i want a car that can perform like a Skyline GTR 350+KW and is set up to be a nice car for the odd track day but still be a nice road car with rego. You may say why? Well that is just how i am.
So this is stage one.
Its on the hoist with the complete rear end droped out. The job at hand to is to replace the complete rear subframe and all running gear from a E92 M3. It is not a big deal to do this, just a few mods along the way, drive shaft and the shock lower mount.
I will post up some pictures along the way.

the list goes like this but the order may change over time

Stage 1 Diff M3 complete with subframe DONE
Stage 2 Procede/Cobb DONE
Stage 3 Throttle controller DONE
Stage 4 Twin oil cooler kit Advan
Stage 5 Front mount intercooler HPF Brick DONE

was
Stage 8 Nashin brake set up front 380mm rear 345mm we use this brand on
our GTR Skylines more on this system later Here now DONE
Stage 9 BC ER shock setup another system from our GTR past DONE
Stage 10 M3 front arms DONE
Stage 11 AR dumps DONE
Stage 12 COBB DONE
Stage 13 AFE inlet system DONE
Stage 14 Charge pipe and Tile BOV DONE
Stage 15 H&R sway bars DONE
Stage 16 Msport black line DONE

It seems like you guys have some experience with FI I6's. Not trying to start anything here. Any reason why you have chosen the Procede firstly over the COBB? I would like skycat's view first before others chime in here and make this something that it's not. I have been following the threads in the main engine forum, but would like (and also really value) some local info.

He has a Procede for now but is planning to use Cobb later on I believe.

He's just waiting for the Australian distributor of Cobb to get some stock in

I thought that Cobb didn't support non-NA N54s?

http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/sho...ers-Start-HERE!

When will there be support for EU, Gulf Spec, Australian spec N54 equipped BMW's?
Although the ECUs may be similar, there is a significant amount of effort and support required for each global region. There are an equal or greater number of the ROMs for each make/model/year in each region as well as different fuel grades to account for. Then calibrations must be developed for each of these vehicles with the appropriate fuel grade, and further testing must be accomplished before the release of the product. Then support must be provided to improve calibrations based on new developments, customer feedback, etc. This is on a region by region bases. At this time, we are focusing on developing our full-tuning-solution for the breadth of N54 based twin-turbo based vehicles in the USDM region before moving on to other world regions. We do not have an ETA for support outside of the USDM at this time.

They support NA and European Cars, but it still works with any other N54 they just don't "officially" support it.

Just send them your logs to make sure your car is running fine

Well the M3 subframe does fit the E92, bolts up just fine some have said that the M3 track would not fit the 335 E92 well it is fine heaps of clerance infact looks stock. Those of you thinking of this mod just purchase a complete rear end as the M3 system is so good it is built like a brick shit house . I will have the drive shaft done in the morning. I am going to use the 335 lower arms untill i get the BC shocks as i can order a mix of M3 & 335 then i will refit the rear lower arms. I will post some pictures just need Justin to show me how never have worked that one out :

The Procede system is the system i like to use, i have spent so much time on the dyno with Procede so my investment is large. I work with Adrian form time to time so i feel that Advan needs to use Procede, But we work with all types of ECU, some i like some i dont like.
As far as COBB goes well we are going to do a lot of our R&D with Stuart the COBB agent very soon so with in 5-6 weeks i will tell you all what i think about COBB

Are you aware of Alex's 335->M3 conversion he did a few years ago? might answer a lot of your future questions. This was the nicest 335 in Australia

Stage 1

Did some more work on the diff swap today, found out that the 335 rear brakes will not fit the M3 hubs/carrier so will have to use the M3 system, They are a bit bigger but will do for now, as i am going to change the brakes anyway, drive shaft is ready for pick up so will fit it up tommorrow. The more i get into swap i see that BMW have done there home work all the parts are so much stronger, i am happy that i went this way rather than just fit up an LSD
