Check out Helix. They know the n54/n55 inside and out. The JB4 doesn't require "tuning". Just install and go. If you want something for custom tuning for your car that will be dialed in for you specifically get an AP and protune/etune.

Uh, you dont need to tune anything with the Jb4.

you should watch the JB4 installation video. Its extremely easy and can be done in 10 minutes.

In NJ, go to ACM (they should have it even tho they are more M3 specialist)

In PA, Helix will have it & they might still have the deal that if you buy a tune, they'll let you get before/after dynos

I tried E85 timing on 93+meth today at 17.5 psi on stock turbos, car pulls decently quick, was shocked. JB4 + Cobb FTW

Still stacking?? And where are you getting E85 in the NYC area??? For me in it's either go to Philly, a Gulf Station near Newark Airport or West Orange (sketchy......)

Can anyone confirm whether autocouture motoring will do a JB4 install on a 135i?

Also should I just stop being a wimp and install it myself? I just don't want to break anything. The most experience I've had is just stupid stuff like replacing light bulbs removing grills and things of that nature. I don't think I'm inept just cautious. Any help would be great.

Confirmed.. Yeah they can do it, but you should give it a go.. It's really not that difficult just take your time and follow the instructions step by step

Sent you a PM, come out to the Central NJ Lunch and Learn this Sunday and we can help you install it for free (Very easy to do) and you can also do the rear fog light lego mod too.

You will have a fun time meeting fellow e9x'ers in the community and have a great time installing the parts yourself for more satisfaction (plus when you do it yourself, you also learn how to remove it in the future should you ever want to).

I'd like to come out this sunday and learn but don't think I'll be able to get hold of a JB4 that quickly (unless someone knows something I don't). Still might come out anyway

This is not exclusive to BMW's and you don't have to be modding your car to come out. It's really just about having a fun time and helping/learning about cars in general. I have an e90 335xi, a Nissan Frontier, and '92 Eclipse GSX (I do mods on all of them because its fun). So come out and learn about cars, make some friends, and when you are ready to do your own projects we will be here to help you

When I was a kid just starting out, I wish someone was around to show me the ropes coupled with how to do things safely (personal safety and vehicle safety). Now that I'm older, wiser, and have some time... I'd like to take the initiative to do that for the next generation. I'm not about to do some hard core servicing of a vehicle, that's for folks who have lifts... but for simple mods which just require a little time/patience/simple tools... that is what I am after. Things that can be done in an open parking lot type stuff and nothing which would leave you stranded or brick your car (They have vendors on these forums who do that stuff for a living... they are pros for those things and I'll leave it to them).

Did you ever get your JB4? I know someone personally who is selling his (He had it for about a month and then decided he wanted to sell the car so its very lightly used). JB4 + USB + DCI in Central NJ.

PM me if your interested.
