Smile BMW 335i Performance Mods?

I just got my first car, a 2007 BMW 335i, a few months ago. I got the car with a CPO warranty still active for 16k and it has about 60k miles on it. It runs like a dream besides the front driver side wheel squeaks turning at low speeds, haven't found a fix for it yet. I haven't done much to the car yet besides a few aesthetic modifications. I got the stock rims powder coated black, the roof wrapped in black, and tinted the windows. As a side note i've considered getting the chrome trim wrapped but almost prefer the chrome look more so let me know if you think it will look better. Any way i was looking for suggestions on some performance mods which aren't chips (jb+ etc.). If anybody knows of any or has any suggestions as to how my car looks i will be glad to hear them, thanks.

I prefer black trim but that's up to you. Sounds like you don't want a piggyback tune so perhaps Cobb access port?

Better get your flame suit on cuz you should of used the function

But congrats on the car even if it's the worst year to buy and yes black out your chrome trim and grills. I feel lazy to type now, you should really do your research first before asking a question that's been answered already in different threads.

Bro, take off the badges, put a M badge on it or a "Mat" Black 335is badge. That's the first mod anyone should do. Bro. Chicks. Love.

Also, you should Plastidip all that chrome, and the headlights.

Ill just put it this way, for performance mods...nothing will ever match the bang for the buck factor with a tune. Plus any other modifications you can do such as an intake, intercooler, cat-back exhaust, catless downpipes wont really add much hp if its running through stock ecu. Tunes are made for the mods, but really the engine itself has so much potential with a tune, you may over look any other mod. I would reconsider any mod before a tune/chip.

you can also uninstall tune/chips if you are afraid of warranty work

your car looks great! i would black out your trim and grille

Get some dual cones intakes (dci), charge pipe + bov and a jb+ which is really easy to install when you got your stock intake out of the way. I coulden't picture myself driving my car on stock boost lol. GET IT NAO.

as previously said go with jb or cobb, as for cosmetics, you have a black theme going to black out the grills and the window trim, also add some blackline tails. Congrats on the car btw

Thanks! I'm going to black out the remaining chrome and probably just get a jb4 installed, its seems to be the biggest bang for my buck. I still have the front wheel squeak problem but am going to contact the dealer about it since its still under the CPO warranty.

You can do without bov and charge pipe right now. No sense in amplifying your blow off sound when the car is still slow

Nice looking car.

Things I would do If I was you:
- Plasti Dip the kidneys black
- Plasti Dip the chrome window trim black.
- Get a Cobb tune - easy to do and doesn't require any bolt ons. Just plug it in, upload the tune and go.

- Win

Would A Cobb tune be more beneficial than just getting the jb4?

Jb4 is a pain to remove every time you visit the dealer for any work. (since you are still on cpo..) Cobb is plug and play and easy to restore to stock before going for any warranty work. Non DIY drivers like me prefer cobb. i am planning to get one myself down the road.. There are a zilion threads on cobb vs jb4 and my understanding is both are equally good each with pros/cons.. See the cobb and jb4 install videos on their sites and youtube

OP, PM me and I'll set you straight. I have the same car and color as you, so you can checkout my pics for some ideas if you want. I can also help you get setup with performance mods. I've tried all three major tunes (JB4, COBB, Procede) as well as have all the bolt ons. Let me know, i'm here to help!

I switched out my OEM brakes (front and rear) to Hawk Street Performance Pads and the annoying squeaks went away. (My squeaks up to 40 mph which was very annoying).

First car...as in you're a new driver? Please do not put a JB4 in your car. Do the appearance mods...it's a beautiful car in black and white. But don't eff with the power...the car is already crazy powerful.
