It is almost identical to the Dinan cable.

I wonder if you could pull the hex from an existing Dinan tuned ECU and compare to a stock Hex to view "changed" values.

I assume if you dump a stock ECU, then flash that stock ECU with Dinan then dump again you could then compare the hex dumps. We could learn a lot from this tool. Scalbert, I have high expectations, don't let me down!

I am just getting the Enthusiast version for now which does not support Coding. However, if it proves to be the product I think it is, I will upgrade to the Professional version and then the fun can begin.

Excellent, care to speculate if this is a Rebranded Shark-edit? It looks like it, smells like it.

If you look at what the webpage doesn't say, one could speculate that this could be a very powerful tool.

The professional version makes so much sense if you want to retrofit stuff to your car, eg. navigation, active cruise, PDC, TRANSMISSION!.

I'm getting Pro. Group buy? LOL

Definitely a nice find! How much more is the pro version? I am really clueless when it comes to ECU coding, but did we potentially just find a way to flash our own cars?!?

I'm thinking the same thing! What will stop you from loading whatever you want with the Professional version?

This may change the whole N54 tuning scene completly.

Who will care about doomsday maps if we can delete ALL codes with this machine?

Take it one step further, who would care about piggys if you could load a custom map to the ECU?

The same tuners can offer maps, just with different hardware now (or I guess no hardware now). This could be epic.

I'm sure a "lawdude special" can be arranged. Full of boost, oozing with sarcasm with a side of race gas. Your exhaust will smell like fresh peaches.

We will find out soon enough but if it can read the hex data I don't see why the hex data could not be edited and reloaded.

Probably not if they use a hardware key. Don't forget Ross Tech uses a hardware key for all of their VCDS versions.

The FAQ has a picture of a software spec read from a E46.

Wish I could correlate your "lawdude special" with something relevant to my post, but then I'm from south georgia where we don't have the remarkable wit south floridians think they have.

Tip: Don't try too hard with your metaphors. Looks like you're trying to create a point where none exists.
