Thank you all for all the help and for keeping this professional. There is room for both products and each have their respective merits. I will take some time to review this and perhaps reach out to each vendor for further questions.

You sure? A 2008 with sport package? I would think it has it. Here is a pick of it in the right (passenger) wheel well: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=49

My big thing is reliability. Has either one proven more reliable?

Also, does the proceed give the same level of management as the BT tool? Will it show all engine codes or just the ones related to a tune? I have been reading that there may be others that don't seem to be covered by the proceed.
Reliability.

I've run the JB line of tunes for 40,000+ miles and going in for my first service issue (hpfp). Yes, you read that right.. first. I'm at the track often and have put a good bit of stress on the car. The car has held up amazing. On top of that I have never had one limp mode throughout the years. Ultimately it's your decision and I like showing people what I've experienced so far. Additional safety features are great, but I don't buy the severity rate at which they are presented here on this forum (based on my experiences thus far).

my 2008 xi coupe with sports package didn't come with an oil cooler either. You needed to have upgraded to the non-default 17" wheels to get the oil cooler. really retarded.

Well, the cp-e one is an auxilary unit to work in conjunction with the OEM one, not necessarily a stand alone system... yet.

I agree with most people here. You really can't go wrong with either tune. I suggest you look at n54tech.com for updates and new features they do to the JB3 2.0. I believe both parties are hard at work cranking out new features, as I believe max power has been reached. As Shiv stated, these engine hasn't been a reliability issue. Look for the tune that suits you, and compare the features that you would think will best suit your needs.
