6MT fluid type

Searched and couldn't find my answer. I have an 09 328 E93 6MT. Do all use MTF LT3 fluid? In my past BMWs they could range from Auto Fluid, LT2, or LT1 all within one generation of car.

Would rather not have to put the car up on ramps to read the label if anyone can confirm if it is LT3...

Car has 1300 miles and want to do a break-in drain and refill. Assuming I should use factory stuff..?

Thanks!

Yes, it is LT3. Not sure if BMW is selling it by the gallon yet. When I got it last year I had to BYOC and get it from the 55 gallon drum. Do a search there is a Castrol equivelent that is the OEM fluid.

Thanks for the info. Surprised it's Castrol since Pentosin used to make the MT fluids for BMW.

I just remebered I had made a note of the P/N's for the drive line oils. Low and behold I now remember Tischer does sell the trans oil in 5L jug; it's the diff fluid that I had to get from the bulk container. Hope this helps.
