The BMW is very very pricey indeed. What did they test? The 325 or the 330?

It was a 330i 6spd, the A4 was the 3.2 auto and the Lexus was the IS350

In the USA, those first two are in the $40-50K range (not sure about the Lexus) while you can buy a WRX sedan for like $23K. Seems a silly comparison to me, that, or their weighted by price results don't work very well... the WRX is absolutely awesome for the price if you want a hot little vehicle. (but it clearly has the interior of a Kia)
