North/Midlands Karting meet

As there has been a bit of interest in this - I thought I'd throw this up to see exactly who is up for it. Date/location to be decided but if you fancy meeting a few off the forum - get your name on here!

I have an annual membership with PPIK in Leeds. It's probably the best indoor Karting arena in the north and is quite fast.

There is another, smaller one in wetherby.

So, yeah I'm in.

What's the usual sketch for a Northern E90post Karting do??? The Southerns are doing an early evening (I think) followed by a meal, are we thinking of a weekday/weekend???

My hesitation is that we've a little one expected in 8 weeks and soon it'll be lock-down at our house with all distance travel banned just in case all hell breaks loose (literally ).

Just wondering what type of event this turns into to gather my thoughts (excuses ).

Just don't clash on the dates as it might give any midlanders a dilemma about which one to go to

IMHO Early afternoon usually works better. Or even before lunch. This way everyone is fresh. I chose evening for preferential rates and that it ties in nicely with a meal.

You could always do karting and then lunch somewhere which is what Carl planned when he organised one last year..

Been there and thought it was great. Never done the larger track with the bridge though so that would be good (a bit of a trek for the Yorkshire-side-massive though).

I'm not sure one can simply dictate the location.... Paul is organising, so he gets to

On the plus side, I can 'house' 2 couples if anyone fancies a couple of beers.

Not dictating as yup Paul is organising, but certainly trying to nudge

Wherever it is, is will be a great catch up as ever...and perhaps just a little bit competitive
