High Performance Bulbs

Ordered a matching set of 6000k D1S bulbs and their 6000k 9006 fog light kit. Had the low beams installed for awhile, and absolutely loved the improvement in color. Finally got the Mtech bumper installed, which allowed me to use the 9006 bulbs, and it looks great. I ordered the BMW specific item on their site, which includes the CANBUS ballast. Even though I have an 07, I haven't had any issues with it.

Great communication and fast shipping, too.

Glad to hear they helped you out so well. We've been working with them for a while

Nice. I'd love to see some pics of your setup. I'm trying to decide between the 6k and the 4300k fogs

I haven't been able to get good pictures of them. I have a couple, but I don't think it presents the color as it looks in person, it almost has a green tint in the darker areas. That being said, it actually isn't a match even with 6000k each because the fogs are not a projector housing. I think because of the light bouncing around, it alters it a little. However, I think 4300k would be a much more noticeable difference.

Personally, I prefer to match the colors unless you're keeping the stock low beams and getting yellow fogs. I think overall the color is the same, the projectors just result in a more uniformed distribution. This is probably the best shot I have:

Looks good; thanks for sharing. I agree it's best to try and match with the low-beams so I will get the 4300k fogs.

I agree its best to match unless you go with 3000K yellow fogs. Any other combo looks silly IMO.

What method did you use to install the HID fogs on your car. Remove bumper or remove wheel/fender liner?

If you're asking me, I didn't do it, but they were installed when I put the new body kit on. Since you'll have to mount the ballast, my guess is you'll need to remove the front bumper. At the end of the day, you'll save more time just removing it than battling the cramped area.

Fender Liner. No need to remove wheel just turn the wheel in. My ballast are just zip tied. Been fine for years.
