We typically use the Amsoil 10w40 Synthetic premium because of it's high zinc content which has additional lubrication properties.

If you plan on racing (people like Captain Insano) you'll want to compensate by using a slightly thicker oil.

All of our "street driven" single turbo cars have used the Amsoil synthetic premium oil, including Shivs.
Hey mike, so what types oil should oil use if I'm plaining on race a lot?

Awesome. An oil that smells like PiƱa Colada's. I suppose our hard-working N54's deserve to have a good time every once in a while

I'd be concerned about the zinc content in an older flat-tappet, high lift cam setup (such as an S14, S38, etc). Zinc reduces wear on the cams and tappets due to the extreme pressures. Probably less of a concern on our engines with mild cams. I've use Motul more than any other in pure street and full BMW C-Mod racecars, nothing but excellent results.

Amsoil is damn good stuff, too. I always recommend Motul and Amsoil as the top 2 available in the US.

But back on topic. I'm jealous as hell of you single turbo guys.
