Angry Cracked 225m alloys manufactured date 2007

I was a victim of cracked 19" 225m alloys two rears cracked o/s rear had three cracks in it n/s had one crack. The dealership said I must of been raming it up curbs or hit potholes first think they said to me. They replaced one after a run out check the n/s one got replaced. To cut a long story short I wasn't going to pay £605 for a new one to probably crack again because there must be a fault with these wheels I opted for a set of bbs cx-r wheel and non run flat tyres.

Here's my story.
Run flat light came on, Rear NS tyre had been chewed off.
Result: Alloy cracked (May 1st) Paid for new tyre and Alloy weld.
Then 2 weeks later, light comes on car starts vibrating heavily. Same Rear NS tyre huge hole in it on M1. The AA put new tyre on
4 days Later new £300 tyre goes flat again (the run flat . Alloy needed welding AGAIN.

I've spent £750 over the last 4 weeks repairing the same wheel with 3 tyres.
Heading to BMW 1st thing. with a few quotes printed off from this site & Watchdogs.
What was the outcome?

I've just bought a 320i M Sport 08 e93.
Had it serviced at an independent dealer who informed me that I had cracks in two of my wheels.(MV3 18's)
The thing is, all of my wheels look like they've been re-furbed.
Will BMW still replace them if they meet the criteria or will they not even entertain the idea now they've been 'altered'?

I've got MV4's [225] on my E90, I've been running them for 2 years now, changed all 4 tyres today, guess what, one of the rear alloys has cracked. I plan to go to the dealers on Monday, a couple of questions

- MV4's are not standard on an E90, would they pick on this fact and deny a replacement ?

- I've changed colour from silver to ferric grey, if my claim is successful, could I ask for the standard wheel to be powder coated to Ferric Grey at no cost to me ?

If the claim is unsuccessful, could I just get the wheel welded or would there be safety issues, the crack is hair line and the wheels are not losing any pressure

Any tips or suggestions on how to approach this would be very much appreciated..

Thanks that is per crack though but you get a top job and it's a lot cheaper than a new wheel.

Right rear 19" alloy on my E92 sport with rft tyres cracked in two places.

I have now ordered a set of 19" CSL alloys and tyres from CM Wheels.

3 alloys with tyres for sale if anyone wants them, will get an ad up.

Went in to have 2 new tyres on the rear, and looks like I have joined the club. Booked in a BMW Williams Stockport on the 2nd Jan for inspection.

Mine's going back in tomorrow for what will be the 3rd time. Slow puncture from near-side rear tyre, so I suspect another crack.

Sick of it now.

Turns out this was a nail through the tyre and not a cracked rim.

I've replaced the rears with non-RFTs now and will do the fronts 'soon'.

Are these cracks only visible once the tyre is off. Can they be seen from the inside of the rim ?

Mine were easily visible on the inner edge of the rim no need to take the tyre off.

I am here with another cracked rim and I suspect it is the same one that BMW replaced FOC. I'm going to have to search my post to figure out what happened because if i remember correctly, BMW didn't want to give a receipt for the job done.

Last time it was OS rear wheel, this time its the NS rear wheel.
I want to give BMW a ring now but last time I went there with a rear bumper issue, I left with an overheating engine and new components in my engine bay.

I've just been informed by a tyre fitter that my rear MV4 wheel has a crack in it, only had the car 6 months, it's an AUC.

I think in most cases it is visible with the tyre on.

Yer just take the wheel off and give the inside a clean then you should see a hair line crack or put water overit and you will see bubbles.
