this is not crap and obviously OEMs would never put a bass like this in a stock car because not everyone need that extra bass,i like edm and this bass just makes the tracks much better.

Exactly! Sure it can be more crisp but in terms of bass, I think it serves its purpose very well.

I agree the stock system is adequate with the windows up low speeds for my tastes. I was one with 6 15's in a Focus hatchback 12 years ago. This car, windows down, highway speeds it needs more punch. As well when you have the volume up and the bass hits, the stock amp pulls power from all the speakers which SUCKS. So Ill be adding my 13" very soon.

I have had 12in JL audio subs in two 3 series, on both cars the spring loaded gas cap broke. It's not too big of a deal, just something to watch out for.

+1. I got the Harman Kardon sound, just enough bass. My music is also 90% EDM.

I don't mind the extra subs though, everybody has different preferences. However, I really really mind panel rattling that those extra subs typically produce.
