Seen you guys talking about brakes. I have Akebono Euro pads with stoptech direct fit slotted rotors. Less initial bite but less brake fade and probably stronger mid braking. Zero brake dust over long periods of time. OEM brakes are extremely grabby. Hard stops from 135 mph would cause brake fade. Even though I experience less brake fade now, I think that initial bite of the OEM probably shaves off a few feet on a 100-0 mph stop?

No, but I did just notice Chrome is saying the site isn't secure. Wonder how long it's been saying that...

Hey guys,
I put this in NorCal shop thread as well, but not sure how much traffic that thread gets. I have an MHD flash and had my charge tube replaced because it was cracked. The smog shop here in Livermore said it had to be CARB certified, even though I told him it didn't. Not sure if true or not Can anyone recommend a smog shop that will "look the other way" and just smog my car?

New to the forum, anyone in the bay area running catless downpipes? Been wanting them but want to hear them in person before I commit and buy.

Samey same as above. And in Montego Blue too. You look a little stuffed into the car (boom goes the Dad joke). I don't know anyone running catless DPs, and honestly haven't even figured out if my 2009 will need sniffer tested or just OBDII'd. Anyone else know for the Bay Area proper?

California only does OBD + Visual inspection now. Sniffer is no longer needed.
CA smog places are picky. Sometimes down to hoses not being rated for water, fuel etc. I don’t know any places anymore . For reference. PE Mod with AR DPs on my E92 prior to get an E82. |

Hi guys, new here as well. First german car, 335d. So far so good, dashboard lit up with warning lights after 8 days of ownership, but I'm staying on top of it
Any local BMW meets in the bay area? |

If you haven't started a thread in the main sections, I'd recommend it to help you get it figured out. If the dash is "lit up" quite a bit it might be a simple weak battery issue causing everything, but get the codes checked. Pretty common problem caused when the electrical system can't keep up with keeping all those new-car systems running properly, so they freak out and throw codes.
