OZ Allegerita HLT Fitment on E92 xi question

Does anyone have these in 17?
I am sick and tired of the rough riding 18s. I only ordered them om order to get the 2nd oil cooler.

I do like the staggered look though and I want to get 17x8 for the front and 17x8.5 (or even wider 17x9 but I have not found any) for the rear.

Tirerack has these

Alleggerita HLT
17x8
Offset: +40mm

Backspacing: 6.10"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size: 225/45-17

17x8.5
Offset: +40mm

Backspacing: 6.29"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size: 225/45-17

But it lists centering ring and spacers in the list of items for my car. I haven't had good luck with rings and spacers in the past, i had vibrations that were hard to get rid of. Are they really needed? If yes, what other staggered 17 wheels are there that would not require spacers?

Thx

Yes, these are needed to clear the brakes, but these spacers are hubcentric spacers that were designed specifically for use on BMW cars. Quite a few people have been using this type of setup on a variety of BMW cars with no problems.

There are very few wheels that fit over the brakes in 17" without spacers. Two of the better quality wheels are the German made Rial Salerno and Borbet type LV5.

Gary, I had hubcentric spacers on my Mercedes

and they caused vibrations. They were H&R. So, now I am not interested in spacers anymore. I think BMW has stock 17s that can be ordered in staggered sizes but I don't think they are available in the USA only Europe.
