What do you think about this idea??

Ok the cats are in the exhaust manifolds, so what do you think if they were replaced with headers..but leave the rest of the system stock??? Would there be any power gains?? And how would it effect the sound?? ( both in and outside) the car??

i think changing to headers would bring you up to euro spec power unless they are tuned headers, then you're set for some serious gains.

better yet, just get rid of all your cats. the smell is intoxicating!

MAD check engine light time, if you do that. But hey, you'll be faster and more fun... you'll probably get WAY horrible fuel economy. I'd recommend NOT doing it, just based on the amount of crap it COULD make not work right... these engines are DEFINITELY not your dad's chevy 350, if you know what I mean.

I don't think its a good idea. Check and see if Random Technologies are coming out with a CAT for the E90.
