Decimal point incorrect - that was 22.0kg. Beat that northern root vole.

Fackin lol.

If you attempted 220 Carl your chest cavity would split . More like 2.2kg...even 20.2 would be a push for ya!

Here's someone training with that kind of weight.

This is the golden era of bodybuilding with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Please take it for what it is. I know this is a car forum and not many of you know about the "Art" of Bodybuilding. There seems to be a lot of stigma attached to this sport because of the steroids involved. But the athletes must still do the work and diet hard to come into contest like they do. Been following it for the last 5 years. Never will do steroids myself but admire the bodies bodybuilders achieve with their hard work. Admit it's not for everyone, but that doesn't excuse ignorance.

He looks a bit different without the green paint on.

How de-motivating would it be training next to Arnold S. You would feel like a proper wimp next to him.

Yeh and then we'll put you under 405lbs of barbell weight and laugh...You seem to not realise he's not there to run is he...?

His job is to bodybuild. Lets see you get the kind of definition he got and maintain a low bodyfat percentage...

Why would I want to? Bodybuilding for the sake of it is pointless. Doesn't do anything useful but apparently "look good." The ripped look also sees many competitors cramp up through water deprivation - many have to be carried off stage.

Added 3 stone from weightlifting, that was plenty.

You never see martial artists, special forces, whatever over bulked up - because there's no need for it. Arnie couldn't even run in Conan the Barbarian - what's the point?

Blokes also seem to think women love bodybuilders - well you tell me who is more popular - Kelly Slater (8 times World champ surfer) and Brad Pitt or any bodybuilding World champ you care to mention?

Once I hit a certain weight, stuff got harder - slower for martial arts, too heavy for surfing, running was trickier. So shed half a stone and got back on form.

I understand weightlifting and was a gym slave for years, but just bulking for the sake of it? Why. Because it really is very gay.

I can tell you are very much into "what people think" of you - well the wake up call is that you look a muppet.

This is the typical ignorant reply(norm for your posts) I was talking about. It's all about your own preference. I'm not telling you to bodybuild it's just you said you'd laugh at Arnie running when in fact he's not there to run is he? He's competing in bodybuilding, he made a whole career from it!!

Just 'cos you think bodybuilding is "pointless" does not mean it is. What about the millions of people in the world who pay subscriptions at fitness gyms to "look good" you calling what they're doing pointless? They are still bodybuilding to some extent. They're not all the physical machine you claim yourself to be. Just that they are not taking it to the extreme as bodybuilding competitors do. Calling bodybuilding gay is again an example of your pure ignorance and believing you're always correct.

How is leading a healthier life pointless? Being healthier on the inside and outside, as well as strong as hell (natural weightlifting).

And with reply to your PM it's not always about what you achieve. I play Rugby and do bodybuilding in my off season to keep me in good shape and I enjoy it. What's wrong in that. That's more important to me than winning some contest! You have an obsession with winning things. I have no reason to ask myself what I've achieved physically? Have I won anything? Have I passed an arduous course?

Never chatted with someone so far up their own ***!!!

Oh and btw 335disel claimed he could do 38+ pullups with strict form. He could just about manage 20 and that was with poor form except for maybe the first 2. Granted he said he'd done some biking before hand and that's probably more than anyone can do on this UK forum but the fact is he FAILED to back up his original claim.
