even though there arent any significant gains, i will say my car feels alot better now with that intake. I feel that i have more torque down low and dont need to downshift as much if going up a hill or after slowing down. Maybe its just in my head

Since the dyno is static, I doubt any dyno will show any significant gain for this intake, which shows true gains with incoming dense/cold air.

My take is this, if a Honda i-VTEC (Inegra R, '06 Civic Si, RSX-S) engines can gain 7~10 hp with just about any aftermarket intake, I believe our BMW motors, which has a valve timing/valve lift system that's more advance, will achieve similar if not more gains. The reason we don't feel s**t is because the torque curve is too flat and too smooth, it hides the sensation of acceleration.

All in all, I definitely enjoy the new growl, better throttle response...and the 3~5% horsepower gain of this intake.

or, bmw just knows how to create better factory intake system without making them so loud. It isn't as restricted as japanese cars.

how high are you reving at? if its like 6k... i cant tell if its w/ or w/o intake... i think i'd rather see a low 2-3k growl than a 6k roar you know what i mean... how often do i shift that high anyways.
