F80/F82 CCB retrofit (front) to E92 LCI?

Dear enthusiasts,

Would that kind of a swap be possible?
I am tired of rotors warping from overheat.

I currently have D2 Racing BBK on the front and unfortunately it doesn't do it's job - it's braking fine, but the rotors warp all the time, same as the standard vanila brakes.

Cheers,
GreQ

This is a pad problem, not a rotor problem. Try hotter pads

I am currently using Ferodo Ds2500 with my BBK, it's much better than other pads I have used yet when brakes heat up a lot of "vibration" happens.

The "vibration" is so hard that it makes it's hard to stay within 1 lane.

You might have other problems that causes this issue:
-bearing
-hub
-wheels
-control arms
-driver misuse

But to answer you question F8x M3/4 calipers fit but not the rotors.

I have checked everything you mentioned and all is fine

What do you mean by "Driver misuse"?

-aggressive braking when the brakes are still cold
-aggressive braking and not allowing the brakes to cool down
-coming to full stop with hot brakes and holding the brakes appied

Disk doesn't really warp. Is usually just pad deposit. Try different pads and sand rotors down.

I do it twice a year on average.

I am treating those brakes better than my own mother, so that's not the case xD

nice reference! Try sanding the disks and different pads. Relatively small investment. Hopefully there will be a difference.

I thought D2's were like KSport in that they are more for looks than performance.

Some race teams run them in EU so no, not only for looks.

D2's actually use another factory now, and are much better quality than in previous years.

Currently they are quite nicely made (aluminium monoblock calipers) and a good upgrade to have.

The only downside is that the pads that come with them are bad quality.
