Did you pick one of these up? Either the GSXR 750 or the Daytona 675? Both are great bikes, but I got to see the Daytona this year, and they're beautiful (and a lot more rare than the GSXR)... But, def can't go wrong with Suzuki

I forgot to mention, I changed my bike last October!
Test rode a CBR1000RR and a Kwak Z1000. Decided on the Z1000 as it suited my daily riding / commute better. Lovely to ride. Deceptively quick really, probably on par with the K1200R in real world riding, just power delivered in a different fashion. The power the 1200 produced at 8500rpm and upwards was really daft - fun, but like the CBR, I can count the number of times I get opportunity to do that on one hand. Low speed riding is so much easier than the K1200R, and despite Kawasaki's having a reputation for clunky gearboxes, this feels positively luxurious compared to the BMW. No clonks at all, not even selecting 1st. Not really much to do with it, as it already has all the bits and pieces I usually end up fitting (belly pan, hugger, etc). It already has stainless bolts everywhere - so even that isn't a requirement! Insurance is cheaper, running costs should be cheaper, and parts will most definitely be more readily available at sensible prices. As Rob mentioned above, BMW prices are fucking ludicrous. I was recently quoted over £200 simply for front and rear brake pads....parts only...not fitting. I also like the idea of being able to do simple maintenance tasks, such as changing the coolant, without the need to take it to a dealer! |

Yup. Have a GSXR1000 K7 with loads of modifications. It'd cost over £25k to do it again!

Weather's definitely starting to turn around here, and it's now consistently in the 50's Fahrenheit... Been a while since I've last been on, but went through 2 tanks of gas this year, and loving every minute of it!
